DESKS & CHAIRS

We could source a wide variety of desks: individual or shared, common or multifunctional, fully equipped or straight. We are able to introduse a variety of materials and colours, customizing the product if required. Meeting space evolved comparing to the passed 10-15 years, today we use Phone Booths for individual private calls, informal meeting areas partially closed for few team members discussing projects, or multifunctional folding desks, equipped with technical power/data boxes. Within this chapter we consider a great deal of attention to the ergonomy – seating, since we may find a huge variety of chairs. Out of these many, there are just few that could be considered ergonomic – capable to offer proper support to a user sitting more than 2 hours a day on this chair: accountants, back-office employees, people working from home. Our advise is to avoid cheap, abundant products and talk to a specialist for an advise. Cheap products cannot support the body since they are not stable, they simply move and shake. Their base cannot be adapted to various surfaces, especially to the hard ones. Cheap chairs have gas lifts that cannot absorb the shocks upon seating, all tension going to the spine. The visible materials metal, plastic, fabrics as Will as the ones you cannot see: injected poliurethane foam, should adapt to the anatomy of its user and last in time, without modifying its shape. The most important part in a chair is the mechanism which brings the chair to the user’s need, take the shoks and avoid creating the pressure points in the contact zones: forearm, elbow, seat, knee, spine or neck.
